 Pastor John Larkam is Senior Pastor of World Harvest Outreach Church, a dynamic and growing Spirit-filled, non-denominational church in Austin, Texas. Pastor John was born in Austin, the youngest of five children. He graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles, California, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Upon graduation, Pastor John worked for Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Company as a Group Marketing Representative, where he became one of Transamerica’s top national producers.
On January 19, 1986, Pastor John began attending church regularly and had a powerful conversion experience in which he dedicated his life to Jesus Christ and received the baptism with the Holy Spirit. He began to sense the call of God on his life for ministry and, in August 1987, Pastor John answered that call and left a lucrative salary at Transamerica to begin working full-time in the ministry.
In February 1991, Pastor John began working for Ed Dufresne Ministries in Temecula, California (now located in Murrieta, California) and helped pioneer World Harvest Church in Murrieta. In May 1993, Pastor John graduated from World Harvest School of Ministry, a two-year intensive bible training center for ministers. In November 1995, Pastor John left California with the blessing of Ed Dufresne Ministries to start World Harvest Outreach Church in Austin, Texas.
In addition to founding World Harvest Outreach Church in Austin, Pastor John serves on the Board of Fresh Oil Fellowship, an international association of pastors and ministers founded by Dr. Ed Dufresne.
Pastor John’s ministry is characterized by his clear and simple teaching of the scriptures and the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit to heal and deliver.
Pastor Alison Larkam co-pastors World Harvest Outreach Church along with her husband, Pastor John. Pastor Alison was born in El Paso, Texas, a triplet and one of four children. She graduated from San Diego State University in San Diego, California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She also graduated from World Harvest School of Ministry (along with Pastor John). Pastor Alison worked as a registered nurse until the birth of their first child.
Pastors John and Alison met in church and were married on November 21, 1987. They have two daughters, Catherine and Stephanie. They count it an honor and privilege to lead the flourishing congregation of World Harvest Outreach Church.
