Finding Your Place in the Body of Christ The church is a family of believers. In a family, as children grow, they begin to take on specific responsibilities. They may begin to mow the lawn, take care of the pets, do the dishes, or take out the trash. These responsibilities give the family member a sense of value and ownership, and it is the same with the family of God in the local church. As we get involved and begin to take on responsibilities through our service to God in the local church, that church becomes my church, the pastor becomes my pastor. We begin to sense a belonging and fulfillment, and we begin to realize that we are important and that we are valuable to God and to His work. At World Harvest Outreach Church, we have made it easy to get involved and meet other people. We have Small Groups in which you can meet other people who have the same interests as yourself, or are in the same stage of life. We also have a series of discipleship classes, called Victorious Living, which will help you grow in your relationship with God and with other believers. As you complete the Understanding Membership Class, which is offered 3-4 times a year, you will be eligible to serve in a Local Outreach or one of the many Ministries, which is one of the best ways to connect with others who have a heart for seeing the Kingdom of God advanced! We encourage every believer to bring a three-fold supply to church each week:
There is no need to wait. Get involved! Jump on in to God’s plan and purpose for your life, which is found when you begin to serve Him with all your heart! | ||
